Golden Prince Hotel’s Kabilin Heritage Lounge was relaunced in October of 2018 as part of the hotel’s Anniversary Celebration. Madam Louella Alix, Golden Prince Hotel’s Heritage Ambassador; has always been part of the hotel’s feature events and milestones. This partnership and collaboration has allowed the hotel to strengthen its commitment in offering a uniquely Cebuano dining experience for all its guests.

As a source of inspiration for many of Kabilin’s culinary offerings, Madam Louella Alix has provided much guidance in sparking the Chefs’ interest in the history of certain dishes and how the ingredients came to be. Madam Louella shares beautiful stories about the origins of classic Cebuano (and Filipino) dishes. This allows the Golden Prince Chefs such as Head Chef Melo Lopez to get a better understanding of the importance of culinary heritage. Combining their tenured experience in the kitchen and skillsets, Kabilin is proud to be offering authentic local cuisine to its customers.

Kabilin Heritage Lounge has been known for the Best Merienda Buffet in Cebu and has also received recognition by the Department of Tourism for showcasing Cebuano cuisine in their event dubbed Kaon Na! (a culinary festival). Fast forward to the current pandemic situation, Golden Prince Hotel is gradually opening its restaurants beginning with Kabilin. Cebu’s first heritage home in a hotel: Kabilin Heritage Lounge recently hosted a Media Lunch on October 22, 2020 showcasing different offerings: Top 5 Ala Carte Dishes (ie Beef Salpicao, Humba Cebuana, Pescador, Crispy Pata and Pinakbet), Pamahaw Tibuok Adlaw, and Pangbusog Meals.
