As Bantayan Island’s tourism makes a re-start with the opening of its new airport, Cebu Province, led by Governor Gwendolyn Garcia holds mini Suroy-Suroy sa Bantayan with guests, Secretary Michel Lloyd Dino, Presidential Spokesperson Secretary Harry Roque with Central Visayas regional directors, Miss Universe Philippines 2020 candidates, social media influencers, and visitors. The group visited various tourist sites in the island to showcase the local culture, products, and sceneries.
The groups visited various tourist destinations in the municipalities of Sta. Fe, Madridejos, and Bantayan.
To promote a safe tourism towards economic recovery amidst the pandemic, the 3-day northern escapade started with the inaugural flight from Mactan Cebu International Airport to Bantayan Island Airport which is a joint project of the Cebu Provincial Government, Department of Tourism-Central Visayas, and Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority.
