Malasakit Center Cebu patients receive presents from Senator Bong Go

More than 1,000 patients in five public hospitals in Cebu with Malasakit Centers received an early Christmas gift from Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, Wednesday, December 16.

A total of 1,292 patients from the charity wards of the different hospitals in Cebu received food meals, food packs, face masks, face shields, and vitamins from the Office of Senator Bong Go (OSBG).

These patients were admitted at Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (700 patients); Talisay City District Hospital (200); Eversley Childs Sanitarium & General Hospital (176); Lapu-Lapu City District Hospital (120) and St. Anthony Mother & Child Hospital (96).

The OSBG explained that the selected patients are the indigent patients which are currently admitted and about to avail of the Malasakit Center services.

The said patients also received the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Senator Bong Go’s “Pamasko” to Malasakit Center patients is an early Christmas charity event of the senator a day before he visits Cebu.

Malasakit Center was first established in Cebu through Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center.

Senator Bong Go visited the hospital last December 2019 where he also organized a Christmas party for the patients availing of Malasakit Center.
