CCCI, FAMCOR conducts 1st face-to-face BBEMP Mentoring Session

The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), together with FAMCOR Franchise Management & Executive Development Corporation, successfully conducted the first face-to-face Barangay-Based Entrepreneurial Mentoring Program (BBEMP) on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Golden Prince Hotel and Suites.

The program implementers secured that all participants followed the safety protocols by always reminding everyone to wear a face mask, bring and use alcohol at all times and most especially everyone should sit 1 meter a part from each other.

2 Basic Modules were discussed during the session: the Mindset, in the morning and the Model, in the afternoon. The program was also delightfully graced by the CCCI President Mr. Felix Taguiam, BBEMP Champion and President of FAMCOR, Honorary Consul General of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh Mr. Virgilio “Nonoy” Espeleta, and the CCCI Business Development Manager and BBEMP Focal Person Ms. Elpe Canoog with their messages to the mentees.

41 on-site mentees were present 25 of which registered through the BBEMP Facebook Page Registrants and 16 were Carbon market vendors that Megawide has endorsed. 18 other mentees joined the session online, making the total of 59 participants.

Towards the end of the program, one of the mentees testified to the crowd that the relevance of the program in helping every entrepreneur who are struggling due to the pandemic. In his testimony, he shared that his wife is one of the graduates of Batch 4 DTI Cebu Kapatid Mentor Me (KMME) Program implemented in partnership with PCE Go Negosyo and CCCI. According to him, their business was badly hit by the pandemic and find it very hard to rise back, but the KMME Program, with its tools and enhanced modules, helped him and his wife managed their bakery business to survive, bounce back and thrive from the pandemic.

Featured Resource Speakers are the President of HR consultancy and owner of Ms. Belle’s perfume, Ms. Nievelinda G. Grandea who discussed the Basic Module 1, Mindset followed by the Lead Mentor and Program Director of MTBA EntrepMentor Center, Mr. Marcelius Thomas Aleguiojo Jr. who discussed the Basic Module 2, Model.

Mentoring session will be every Thursday until the 2nd week of November 2021 for onsite mentees and every Tuesday and Friday for online mentees.
