Pioneering logistics provider Alin Group of Companies inaugurated its Cebu Corporate Office on Hernan Cortes St. in Mandaue City and launched the mobile app for Alin Cargo Express on Wednesday, December 8, 2021.

At the same time, it simultaneously opened four Alin Cargo branches in the cities of Mandaue, Cagayan de Oro, Bacolod, and Las Pinas. Six more are poised to open in the next few months.

Israel Alin, Alin Group Chief Executive Officer, said they started out as a customs brokerage in 2006 but have expanded to providing such services as import and export, trucking, cargo forwarding, logistics, and money transfer.

The addition of Alin Cargo Express to the Alin Group in 2019 enabled the company to also provide express delivery, shipping, and courier services particularly to overseas Fillipinos and their families in the Philippines. It launched its own exclusive booking and delivery app for fast, reliable, and on-demand services.

International operations

Outside of the country, Alin Cargo operates in Thailand, Dubai, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, China, and soon in some European countries as well as North America.

The Alin Group also welcomes partners for its international operations, said Atty. Ramy Amenion, citing that the maximum investment for an international branch would be around a million pesos.

He added that the COVID-19 pandemic did not cause any great disruption to the company in view of the increase in the shipping trade between countries. Atty. Amenion even expects network operations to grow by 50 percent next year particularly with the company’s franchise offering.

The company is guided by the corporate values that reflect its founder, and that is attitude, leadership, integrity, and nurturing or ALIN.

Safe, secure movement of goods

Mr. Alin said the company’s strength lies in the easy, safe, and convenient movement of shipments, particularly balikbayan and commercial boxes. The company will soon go into money remittance as well, to better serve overseas Filipino workers and their families.

What sets them apart from other logistics companies is a solid foundation grounded on knowledge and expertise in every facet of the business, including customs brokerage which is crucial in the fast movement of goods between countries, he added.

“We are committed to consistently providing excellent and cost-effective services to our global stakeholders,” he added.

Also during the event, company executives announced that they are offering up Alin Cargo Express for franchising in 20 select locations throughout the Philippines. These include Laguna, Rizal, Cavite, Pampanga, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Quezon City, Metro Manila, Naga City, Pangasinan City, Isabela City, Mandaue City, Iloilo City, San Carlos City, Tacloban City, Davao City, Tagum City, General Santos City, Butuan City, and Zamboanga City.

The company picked areas where it already has a strong network base, according to Alin Group Director Mitone Rivera. He added that they pegged the franchise fee at an affordable rate of P188,000 to allow more people to grab this opportunity.
