This February, Converge ICT Solutions Inc. lends much needed connectivity support for Mandaue City’s Annual Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) seen to benefit around 17,000 businesses in the Central Visayas City.

Led by Mandaue Investment Promotions Action Center, the Business Permit and Licensing Office and the City Treasurer’s Office, the BOSS event is organized annually to facilitate and digitize the business registration procedure for the convenience of the city’s taxpayers and business owners.

The event, extended until February 15, is held at the J Center Mall, MI Department Store and caters to business permit application and renewal. The BOSS sites rely on strong and stable connection as each site is equipped with digital, self-registration kiosks

“As we widen our reach into the Visayas region, we are glad to be part of the local government digital initiatives for their citizens. We are committed to offering our fiber broadband in service of Cebu especially now that it is recovering from a devastating calamity,” said Dennis Anthony Uy, Converge CEO and Founder.

Apart from providing connectivity support to the Mandaue BOSS event, Converge has been working closely with various LGUs in Cebu to restore the network infrastructure affected by the onslaught of Typhoon Odette last December.

While the fiber network is being restored, Converge has also installed community Wi-Fi hubs and charging stations in Mandaue City Hall, Cebu City Hall, Talisay City Work from Home Set-Up and Lapu-Lapu City Hall.

Last year, Converge officially launched its high-speed fiber broadband service in Visayas, marking its entry with the opening of its regional corporate office and Mandaue business center located at the Oakridge IT Center Tower 2, Oakridge Business Park, Mandaue City.

Converge now services over 440 municipalities and cities across the country. The company’s total number of residential subscribers reached nearly 1.6 million at the end of September 2021, almost double compared to the same period last year.
