The Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) officially named its new set of Board of Trustees (BOT) elected through a virtual BOT Elections, in partnership with PWC Isla Lipana & Co., during the recently concluded hybrid celebration of the CCCI General Membership Meeting on February 28 at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel & Casino and via Zoom.
This is the very first GMM conducted by CCCI in a hybrid platform since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
Encompassing various sectors of Cebu’s business community, this year’s BOT elections presented 11 vacant seats where 13 candidates vied for.
Of the 5 candidates competing for 3 vacant seats in the Industry sector, Pedro H. Delantar, Jr., President and CEO of Natures Legacy Eximport, Inc., received the most votes. Joining him are Ma. Aleta Dela Calzada, Designer & Managing Proprietor & Founder of ATE by Tatah Clothier, and Nelson C. Bascones, Central Seafoods, Inc. and Foodphil Corporation.
For the trade sector, the new trustees are Mario Panganiban, General Manager of Cebu Advent Development Corporation.; and Karl Antonious “Karl” De Pio, Director of Operations of Global Carrier Philippines
The newly elected trustees for the service sector are Aaron Que, Executive Vice President
of Golden Prince Hotel & Suites and Golden Valley Hotel; Padma Siap, Managing Founder and People Development Specialist of Creative Magnate Institute; Joyce So, First Vice President and Head-Visayas Banking Center I of Security Bank Corporation; and Atty. Tomas Riveral, Chairman and CEO of Oriental Port & Allied Services Corporation.
While Romeo Comabig, the Immediate Past President of Cebu Bankers Club, and Paulo
Uy, Founder and Director of Cebu Digital Outsourcing Solutions, Inc. are the new trustees for the Sectoral and ICT sector, respectively.
The GMM also highlighted the Recognition Ceremony of the valuable contribution of esteemed individuals and organizations as enablers who spearheaded various undertaking and initiatives and serves as enablers in the fight against COVID-19 during the Pandemic Era (2020-2021) in Cebu with impact on the Cebu business community.

An MoU Signing Ceremony of the industry-academe for seafood production sector cluster was likewise conducted to ink agreement to pursue and achieve the DET PILOT PROGRAM, as well as in defining, refining and initiating the implementation of sustainability mechanisms for active private sector involvement in dual Technical-Vocational Education and Training within the FISH Visayas Project. with CCCI and AFOS Foundation for Entrepreneurial Development.
Lastly, 20 more new member companies are added in the CCCI roster of membership as it continued to widen its reach in order to attain its goal of being the true voice of business in the Province of Cebu.
