Converge ICT Solutions Inc. in partnership with Talamban softball club, organized the 2022 Converge Hinapakay sa Talamban 2022 softball tournament in Lhuillier Ranch, Barangay Talamban, Cebu City.
Michael D. Maquiran, Converge Regional General Manager for VISMIN, opened the event and pledged support for community-building sports activities like softball.
“Converge is proud to support this softball tournament that has brought the community in Talamban together. We promise to sustain our support for the sport, and we definitely, the next one will be bigger and better,” noted Maquiran at the opening ceremony.
The ceremonial first pitch was thrown by Michael D. Maquiran, Converge Regional General Manager for VISMIN.
This year’s tournament marks the first time that a major corporation – apart from Lhuillier Group of Companies who are sponsors of the venue – supported the softball cup. Eight teams from the different softball organizations in Cebu participated in the event.
This comeback tournament is the 7th overall since it started in 2014. The 2022 tournament will run from October until December 2022
Hinapakay sa Talaban Softball Cup is organized by the Talamban Softball Club headed by Alintone Adolfo and Russ Alvi Bontuyan.
