CCCI x PICPA Cebu Chapter inked agreement for Tax & Accounting Business Clinicquing Program: A Rerun

Crucial for business survival, tax management remains a challenge among businesses. The Cebu Chamber of Commerce & Industry (CCCI) led by President Charles Kenneth C. Co executed a Memorandum of Agreement with the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) Cebu Chapter represented by its President, Mr. Edmund P. Minerva last February 23, 2023 at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino for the rerun of the Tax & Accounting Business Clinicquing Program.

The signing ceremony was also attended by CCCI Vice President for Business Development Jay Yuvallos, CCCI Executive Director Ms. Joy Lorena Segismar, PICPA Cebu Chapter President-Elect Ms. Katherine Mae Migrino, and PICPA Vice President for Professional Development Atty Kim M. Aranas.

The Clinicquing Program is a 7-Module comprehensive training session aimed to strengthen the capabilities of not only CCCI members but also the Cebu Business Community on tax and accounting standards compliance. Sessions are held at the 3/F, Cebu Chamber Centre, NRA, Cebu City, and have been underway since February 13, 2023 and will run until March 21, 2023.

Modules covered in the Program include: Module 1 on Mind-setting for Owners and Decision Makers, Module 2 on Good Governance and Regulatory Compliance, Module 3 on Reporting Responsibilities, Module 4 on Taxation 101-Compliance Pitfalls and Opportunities which is divided into 2 sessions, Session 1 on Income Taxation (Individual and Corporate Taxation) and Withholding Tax and Session 2 on Business Taxation- VAT/Percentage Tax, Module 5 on Payroll Preparation Workshop, Module 6 on Financial Accounting and Reporting, while Module 7 is divided into 3 sessions, Session 1 on Determining Compliance bottlenecks in Management, Planning and Control, Session 2 on Determining Compliance bottlenecks in Finance and Accounting and Session 3 on Determining Compliance Bottlenecks in Taxation and Regulatory Compliance.
