LAPULAPU CITY –- Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) launched Royal Air Philippines’ direct flight to Hong Kong with 5x weekly flights onboard Airbus A320 aircraft, boasting a comfortable seat capacity of 180 passengers.
Royal Air Philippines’ inaugural flight from Cebu to Hong Kong was scheduled on October 9, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. at Terminal 2.

This addition strengthens our commitment to develop MCIA as a key aviation hub in the Philippines as well as provide diverse travel opportunities and connecting people, businesses, and cultures,” Athanasios Titonis, Chief Executive Officer assigned to MCIA by Aboitiz InfraCapital (AIC) said.
The launch of this new route marks a significant milestone in the expansion of travel options from Cebu, boosting tourism and economic ties between Cebu and Hong Kong and promoting cultural exchange and business opportunities.

With the addition of this new carrier, MCIA now has 15 foreign and 5 Philippine-based airline partners and connects to 30 domestic destinations and 12 international destinations.
