Childlink Learning Center & Childlink High School Inc., in collaboration with the school’s Parents Teacher Association, is organizing a special block screening of Kung Fu Panda 4 on March 9, 2024, at SM Seaside City Cinema 1.

Ms. Maria Theresa Tio, the Founder and School Directress of Childlink, elaborates that the block screening initiative is spearheaded by the school’s PTA with the aim of raising funds for the purchase of various musical instruments needed for the students’ Music curriculum.

Highlighting the significance of music education, Ms. Tio emphasizes its role in instilling responsibility, discipline, and teamwork among the students. She mentions that students across all grade levels are instructed in different musical instruments.

Ms. Tio said the school has a very good musical program that positively impacts students. “Music fosters a sense of responsibility and discipline among the students, and teaches them how to work with others. Every grade level, the students are taught different musical instruments,” she said.

The school has an orchestra, a Rondalla, and a choir composed of students.

Ms. Tio further explains that due to the aging condition of the current musical instruments, the PTA initiated this fundraising endeavor to acquire new ones.

The selection of Kung Fu Panda 4 for the event is deliberate, as both Childlink and the PTA recognize its alignment with the school’s emphasis on promoting positive values among its students.

Ms. Tio cites the following as some of the valuable lessons one can learn from this movie series:

One’s wisdom and strength come from life experiences, good or bad;

Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery, But today is a gift. That’s why we called it present;

Believe in yourself;

Don’t have an ego; and,

Don’t focus too much on your flaws. Instead, focus on what you’re good at.

Tickets for the block screening cost P500 each and the screening starts at 3:30 p.m.

Childlink will also be presenting a school play – KULTURA: A Celebration of the Eight Subcultures that Shaped the Filipino Nation.
