APF Cebu’s Renewable Energy Badge marks the good news that all APC-owned factories in the Philippines are now being supplied with 100% Renewable Energy

Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation (APC) continues to add milestones that contribute to long-term benefits for the planet as they take another monumental move towards proving its commitment to sustainability with the unveiling of the 100% Renewable Energy Badge for its APF Cebu Factory. The full transition of all APC factories in the Philippines to 100% renewable energy for their electricity needs reinforces APC’s efforts to their 2030 Roadmap, putting at the forefront environmental protection and making the world more liveable for the future generations.

Celebrated at Dusit Thani Mactan and APF Cebu Factory, APC executives, partners from ACEN Renewable Energy Solutions, and members of the media graced the event to witness the ceremonial badge handover and a factory viewing experience.

Mr. Koichi Ozaki, President of Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation, delivers an inspiring speech at Dusit Thani Mactan during the unveiling of the Renewable Energy Badge, emphasizing the company’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

“Looking ahead, we aspire to further strengthen this mutually beneficial partnership with ACEN. Together, we have demonstrated that sustainability is not just an aspiration—it is a tangible reality. And together, I am confident that we will continue to make meaningful strides in reducing carbon emissions and fostering a healthier planet for future generations.” said Koichi Ozaki, President of Ajinomoto Philippines Corporation.

APC is targeting to reduce its carbon footprint and emissions annually, and with APF Cebu’s switch to renewable energy, this makes us all closer to a greener tomorrow. Last year, APF Bulacan fully transitioned to 100% renewable energy, and this contributes to avoiding approximately 6,500 metric tons of CO2 equivalent emissions annually. The APF Bulacan facility also features a 1MWp Solar Rooftop Array through a partnership with MSpectrum, a subsidiary of Meralco.
