Grab Chief Financial Officer Peter Oey, Grab Philippines Country Head Ronald Roda, and Vice President for Cities CJ Lacsican led the turnover of school supplies, laptops, and handwashing stations to Cebu City Mayor-elect Nestor Archival and officials of the Lahug School System.

Leading superapp Grab, committed to empowering communities nationwide, took an active role in this year’s Brigada Eskwela led by the Cebu City local government and the Department of Education (DepEd) — providing school supplies, laptops, and handwashing stations to three public schools in Lahug. The initiative reaffirms Grab’s longstanding commitment to inclusive education and grassroots empowerment.

Volunteers from Grab helped rehabilitate classrooms and refurbish armchairs, supporting the Lahug School System’s preparations for the upcoming school year.

In partnership with the local government and school officials, Grab extended support to Lahug Elementary School, Lahug Night High School, and Lahug Day Care Centers. The donation includes hundreds of sets of school supplies for students, laptops with backpacks for both elementary and high school learners, and handwashing stations aimed at improving campus sanitation and health. In addition, Grab volunteers repainted three classrooms and hundreds of student armchairs.

The annual Brigada Eskwela program, led this year in Cebu City by Mayor-Elect Nestor Archival, mobilizes communities to prepare public schools for class reopening through cleanup and rehabilitation efforts.
