Cebu Chamber Champions Business Excellence and Unity at 3rd General Membership Meeting

A celebration of unity, progress, and visionary leadership took center stage as the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) hosted its 3rd General Membership Meeting at the Lapu-Lapu Ballroom of bai Hotel Cebu. The event gathered nearly 300 business leaders, industry stakeholders, and partners, reflecting the Chamber’s growing influence and unwavering commitment to driving Cebu’s economic vitality and global competitiveness.

In his compelling President’s Report, CCCI President Jay Yuvallos presented key milestones under the Chamber’s LEAD A-MUST agenda, which emphasized strengthened trade ties, sustainability initiatives, talent development programs, and inclusive growth. “The CCCI continues to be the engine of Cebu’s business growth toward global competitiveness,” Yuvallos stated.

The highlight of the evening was a keynote address by Dr. Donald Lim, a renowned digital transformation advocate. In his talk, “Industry 4.0 & Academe 4.0: Shaping the Future Together,” Dr. Lim emphasized the need for stronger industry-academe collaboration to ensure the region’s workforce is future-ready and aligned with the demands of the digital economy.

Empowering Southern Cebu and Forging Government Ties

Furthering its mission for inclusive development, the Board of Trustees of the CCCI Minglanilla Chapter was officially inducted by PCCI AVP for the Visayas Melanie Ng, signaling a strengthened focus on empowering southern Cebu’s business communities.

Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival also delivered a Solidarity Message, voicing his administration’s strong support for business-government partnerships in line with his “Sustainable Cebu City 2035” vision.

In his closing remarks, FAS Vice President Wendell Ganhinhin reminded attendees that the Chamber’s strength lies in its collective action: “The strength of the Chamber does not lie in a few leaders but in all of us—in our shared voice, shared vision, and shared willingness to act.”
