In a strong show of unity and bayanihan, the Cebu Provincial Government extends its heartfelt appreciation to various private sector and civic organizations for joining forces in the ongoing relief operations for Northern Cebu.
Among the key partners are the Cebu Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Junior Chamber International (JCI), Lions Club International, Rotary International, Eagles Club, and the Council of Evangelical Churches, along with other civic groups. These organizations are working in close coordination with the Provincial Government to ensure a unified and effective response.
On Saturday evening, representatives from each group convened with Governor Pamela Baricuatro to finalize deployment schedules, target areas, and logistical coordination. This joint effort aims to ensure that aid is delivered efficiently, resources are maximized, and relief reaches the communities that need it most.
“To further ensure everyone’s safety and maintain open access for critical deliveries such as generators and water tanks, we strongly appeal for organized and coordinated action from all partners,” said Dr. Nikki Catalan, Capitol Piso Health Consultant.
Governor Baricuatro has instructed the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) to accompany LGUs in distributing relief packs across affected barangays, ensuring peace, order, and equitable distribution of aid.
“This united front — involving government agencies, private institutions, and civic organizations — is a testament to the Cebuanos’ strength and solidarity,” added Dr. Catalan. “Together, we are committed to restoring communities, rebuilding livelihoods, and strengthening the resilience of Northern Cebu.”
