Seda Central Bloc Cebu welcomed the holiday season with its annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, themed “The Joy That Brings Us Together” last November 13, 2025. The celebration gathered community leaders, partners, and guests in a heartfelt evening that honored unity, hope, and the enduring spirit of community.
More than a festive tradition, the lighting of the Christmas tree served as a reminder of the light that guides us through challenging times. The symbolic ceremony was led by Seda Central Bloc Cebu General Manager Ron Manalang, Ayala Land Hospitality’s Head of Strategy and Development Emee Aganon, Cebu Province Governor Pam Baricuatro, the hotel’s Director of Sales and Marketing Thrina de la Calzada, and Front Office Manager Loren De Guzman, accompanied by inspiring performances from the String Edition Orchestra and the Cebu Normal University Chorale.
The ceremony also highlighted Seda’s corporate social responsibility initiative, “Seda With A Heart,” which includes outreach programs in local schools and neighborhoods. DepEd District Supervisor Mr. Willie Adonay Jr. was also invited to share a message of appreciation, recognizing the hotel’s efforts to uplift the community and spread hope where it is needed most. Assistant Director for Human Resources Daryl Maye Getubig-Piamonte also shared the recently concluded relief operations in San Remigio, Cebu where one of their own was also affected.
