Nearly a month after Typhoon Tino swept through Cebu, leaving destruction in its wake, Task Force Padayon Cebu carried out its fifth wave of relief operations on November 26, 2025, reaching 2070 families in Balamban and Asturias who are still rebuilding their lives. This mission brought not just essential aid, but also a message of hope and solidarity to affected communities.

The team distributed 830 food packs along with 200 sets of essential supplies, including pails, hygiene kits, vitamins, paracetamol, slippers, and towels. Forfamilies still living in temporary shelters or struggling to recover, these items were more than material support—they were a lifeline.
Among the beneficiaries were residents of Sitios Dandoy, Lamac, Bangbang, and Riverside of Barangay Nangka, Balamban, and Sitios San Juan and Baybay of Barangay Owak in Asturias, many of whom expressed heartfelt gratitude for the assistance that reminded them they are not facing this crisis alone.
In addition, Task Force Padayon Cebu donated medicines to the Balamban Rural Health Unit (RHU), ensuring that local health services could continue supporting families in need. These medicines were generously provided by Viber, reinforcing the importance of collaboration in disaster response.

The operation was made possible through the generosity of SM Foundation, Inc., coordinated through the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and contributions from Pharma Plus, and Crimson Hotel, Quest Hotel, AppleOne Properties, BES Pacific Hardware, and Ms. Judith Holganza who provided bottled water, assorted food items, vitamins, slippers, and towels.
We are especially grateful to Decoline and RDAK Transport, whose vehicles and support ensured that relief items reached even the most remote households efficiently and on time.
Task Force Padayon Cebu is a multi-sectoral coalition, including the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), Philippine Chamber of Commerce, and Industry – Visayas (PCCI Visayas), Mandaue CCI, City of Talisay CCI, PCCI Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu Contractors Association, the Philippine Red Cross, Rotary Clubs of Cebu, HRRACI, and other business and sectoral partners across Cebu.

Through this united effort, private sector and civil society partners combine resources, expertise, and compassion to help communities recover from disasters and rebuild stronger.
Task Force Padayon Cebu extends its deepest gratitude to all donors, volunteers, and supporters. It is your unwavering commitment that allows families in Balamban, Asturias, and beyond to see a brighter tomorrow.
