Isla Lipana & Co./PwC Philippines marked the 50th anniversary of its Cebu office by strengthening its partnership with the local business community and launching initiatives aimed at supporting recovery efforts in calamity-affected areas in northern Cebu.
As part of the milestone, the firm collaborated with the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) as Knowledge Partner for the third edition of the Cebu CEO Survey, a thought leadership initiative that identifies key growth drivers and challenges faced by businesses in Central Visayas.
The survey was launched during CCCI’s General Membership Meeting on Feb. 27, 2026.

“The Cebu CEO Survey offers us a mirror. Eighty-four percent of CEOs expect revenue growth in the next 12 months, rising to 87 percent over three years. This is not the confidence of comfort; it is the confidence of experience—leaders who adapt, innovate, and invest decisively despite uncertainty,” said CCCI President Regan Rex T. King.
PwC Philippines Vice Chairman and Assurance Managing Partner Aldie Garcia said Cebu continues to emerge as a strong economic driver in the region.
“Cebu is shaping to be an economic powerhouse, harnessing innovation and technology for growth. To keep this momentum strong, we must align private sector expertise with stronger, more transparent public institutions,” Garcia said.

“Elevating the region to a higher standard of progress requires bold and meaningful reforms—ones that rebuild public trust, champion integrity, and foster inclusivity,” he added.

During the anniversary celebration held at NUSTAR Resort Cebu on March 6, 2026, PwC Philippines also announced several community initiatives supporting areas affected by the earthquake that struck northern Cebu last year.
Among these is the construction of a school building at Don Pedro Rodriguez Elementary School in Bogo City, which was among the communities impacted by the disaster.

“The remarkable courage and resilience of Cebuanos should not go amiss. This school building is our firm’s humble contribution to help them accelerate their recovery and continue their education in safer, improved conditions,” said PwC Philippines Chairman and Senior Partner Roderick Danao.
The firm also granted scholarships to students whose families were affected by the earthquake, enabling them to continue their education despite the disruptions caused by the disaster.
“At PwC, we believe that education has the power to transform lives and create lasting, positive change across our communities,” Danao added.

PwC Philippines also committed support to the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region VII through the donation of relief housing units to local government units in San Remigio, Medellin, and Daanbantayan. The units aim to provide safe shelter for families displaced by disasters or emergencies.
Garcia said the initiatives demonstrate the firm’s continuing commitment to community development.
“Even as we pursue growth, we keep our feet on the ground and continue to extend a hand to our communities. Success is measured not only by numbers, but by the positive impact we make on society,” he said.

Rose Dale Ando, Assurance Partner and PwC Philippines’ VisMin Business Leader, also expressed gratitude to the firm’s partners, clients, and employees for their continued support.
“Reaching this milestone would not have been possible without the unwavering dedication of our partners past and present, our clients who continue to place their trust in us, and our people who show up every day committed to doing the work that matters,” Ando said.

“Their support strengthens our resolve to continue growing our practice in Cebu and to keep serving our communities with purpose,” she added.
