Further expanding the beach experience in 2026 is Sulog Spa, Mactan Newtown Beach’s wellness sanctuary. Inspired by the Cebuano word sulog, which refers to the natural flow or current of water, the spa offers professional massage and wellness treatments in a relaxing beachside setting. It provides guests with another way to unwind before or after a day at the beach, complementing the destination’s growing range of leisure experiences.
Mactan Newtown Beach is also home to versatile venues for social and corporate events. The grand beach tent accommodates up to 150 guests and is suited for team-building activities, company gatherings, and celebrations. The Glass Pavilion offers an enclosed airconditioned beachfront setting for events of up to 300 guests, while the open-air Ceremony Garden accommodates up to 80 guests and provides a scenic venue for weddings and intimate occasions overlooking the Hilutungan Channel and Olango Island.
The destination has also hosted major events that draw both local and international audiences. Mactan Newtown Beach serves as one of the key venues of IRONMAN 70.3 Lapu-Lapu, welcoming athletes and spectators from around the world. It is likewise home to GLOW, The Mactan Newtown’s annual New Year’s Eve Countdown celebration featuring live entertainment and beachfront festivities.
For guests looking to spend the day by the coast, Day Passes are available from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM at PHP 1,300 from Mondays to Thursdays and PHP 1,500 from Fridays to Sundays and holidays, inclusive of beach and pool access, lunch buffet, complimentary towel use, and use of available cabanas, tables, and chairs.
Night Passes are available daily from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at PHP 850, inclusive of sunset pool access, a PHP 600 food and beverage consumable, complimentary towel use, and use of available cabanas, tables, and chairs. Children six years old and below enjoy complimentary access, while applicable Senior Citizen and PWD discounts are honored with a valid ID. Walk-ins are welcome subject to availability, while reservations are encouraged.
