Hannah Mae Toquero Choa turned 21 years old last April 13, 2021. A simple celebration with the family was held at Casa de Cacao together with her chocolatey friends. Guests were treated with Jonathan’s specially marinated pork and chicken barbeque which he personally grilled. It is specially seasoned and served with cacao de bola.
There was a wide array of different stations where guests can find the grilled artisanal sandwiches, masi, sikwate, coffee and tea station. Mommy Sol’s station that has empanaditas, fresh lumpia, masa podrida, pintik, and bam-i to choose were all tasted by the guests. Not only that, some guests had Prosecco Wine by Ana of Gaetano Wine. After the sumptuous meal, guests got the chance to taste the various chocolate creations of the Chocolate Queen Raquel Toquero-Choa in a beautiful spread – Torta de Cerveza Negra with leaf-shaped white and dark chocolates with cacao nibs resting on fresh cacao leaves. Guests brought home with them a simple token from the birthday celebrant.
Hannah’s birthday cake was specially made by Chef Peppie of Sweet Guilty Pleasures Cebu using TCC’s Chocolate powder. Meanwhile, Janice of The Beauty Fairy was the celebrant’s make-up artist. If you want to know more about the celebrant, Hannah, who likes to be known as the “Spiller of the Beans”, plays various roles aside from being the able assistant of the Chocolate Queen. Hannah is one of the youngest members of the Cacao de Filipinas Fellowship (CFF), Inc., the association founded by her Mom Raquel. She shares the love and passion of her mom as she offers assistance in various activities in promoting Philippine cacao being the “Philippine Chocolate Sommelier” apprentice. She is also the Youth Ambassador of FCCT or the First Consolidated Cooperative along Tañon Seaboards.
Wherever life leads her, the “Chocolate Princess”, Hannah, true to her name, is the same sweet young lady who is blessed to continue her life story together with her Mom’s chocolate journey as they continue to pay tribute to their Creator, Country, and Cacao.
