MCIAA celebrates 32nd Anniversary, unveils new logo and strives to be Asia’s most ‘passenger-friendly’ airport

The Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA) held its 32nd anniversary at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino on August 1, 2022, Monday.

As the airport marks its 32nd anniversary, MCIAA chief executive officer and general manager Julius Neri Jr. expressed in his welcome address that MCIAA  will continue to improve and prepare for the economy’s reopening, the resurgence of flights, and the recovery of the tourism industry.

“We will not rest on our laurels but instead we will push forward towards our goal to have the most passenger friendly airport in Asia,” Neri stated.

Tourism Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco and Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia also graced the ceremony. Tourism Secretary Frasco acknowledge the efforts of MCIAA’s  commendable operations amidst the pandemic and how it sought opportunities for improvement.

Further, special plaques of appreciation were presented by MCIAA to Gov. Gwen Garcia, Lapu-Lapu City Mayor Junard “Ahong” Chan, Hon. Michael Dino, the former Office of the Presidential Assistant for Visayas among others. Employees and retirees were also acknowledged during the anniversary celebration. (DOT Central Visayas)
