Next, the group was making candles with various scents guided by Jessamae Tilar of Quinn’s Candles and Crafts that has a shop at SM Seaside mall.  The group chose each own scent that include, Jasmine, Vanilla, Lavender, and many more with dried tiny flowers and leaves as décor for the scented candles that were created.

The Seda Central Bloc Cebu

Seda Central Bloc Cebu opened on February 12, 2020 and a week after, the pandemic and lockdown came. Despite the challenges of having no travels, the hotel not close down due to few long staying guests from the BPO industry and no employee was retrenched.

“Given that Seda is strategically located at the heart of Cebu I.T. Park, majority of the business came from corporate accounts in the BPO and IT industry.  At the present, Seda is now hosting international and local travelers both for leisure and business travels,” Hotel manager, Ron Manalang shared with the group a bit about the hotel in its three years of operations here.

Manalang thanked the group for staying and supporting them in many of its events and promotions that help greatly in the hotel’s sustainability in business. “Thank you for making our brand known to the public,” he added.

Thrina de la Calzada, the hotel’s director of sales revealed that Seda Hotels’ adopted Philippine Eagle, Mayumi, has become the mascot for the brand.

The hotel is helping preserve this endangered species through the Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF) and for guests, a donation is automatically made to the PEF from bookings at Best Available Rates, De la Calzada said.
