Award-winning celebrity chef John Buenaventura presents Cebu’s unique island flavors at the Marco Polo this 07 June, in celebration of the Cebu Food & Wine Festival 2023.

A firm advocate of calling global attention to Filipino cuisine, Chef John collaborates with Marco Polo Cebu’s Executive Chef Juanito Abangan to revisit the kitchens across Cebu, from seaside towns to highland villages, for meaningful content and inspiration.

The result is JUAN at JUANITO, a progressive 4-hands 6-course degustation dinner that embraces Cebuano culture through food. Dinner patrons will experience a marriage of tradition with innovation, and delight in the creative focus on locally sourced farm produce, livestock and seaside ingredients.

Dubai-based Chef John is the Executive Chef of VIP Flights for Emirates’ Flight Catering service, and brings years of experience in international hotels and awards to his name. Just recently he was awarded the Gold Medal as Champion for the Middle East & Africa by World Chefs International Judges at the Salon Culinaire in UAE on 30 May.

“In association with Cebu Food & Wine Festival 2023, JUAN at JUANITO is a key event supporting the festival’s vision, celebrating the best culinary attributes of the produce, people and places of Cebu” says hotel Director of Sales & Marketing Lara Scarrow.

JUAN at JUANITO is set at 7 PM on Wednesday, 07 June at Café Marco, featuring a 6-course degustation dinner and aperitif for just PHP 3,500 per person. An optional pairing of 5 wines thoughtfully chosen by D+B Wines is on offer for just PHP 1,200 more.
