Full-range property developer Filinvest Land, Inc. (FLI) reaffirmed its commitment to environmental stewardship through tree planting meant to help reforest the crucial Buhisan Watershed Forest Reserve in Barangay Buhisan, Cebu City.
In partnership with Grand Cenia Residences, FLI’s 25-storey prime hotel and residential development in Cebu City, the activity saw enthusiastic participation from employee volunteers.
“Filinvest recognizes the importance of sustainable practices in our operations and the role we play in preserving the environment,” said John Paul Escario, FLI area general manager for Visayas.
“Our commitment extends beyond business success. It’s about being responsible stewards of the environment, ensuring a better and greener future for generations to come,” he added.
The reforestation initiative focused on the restoration and preservation of the Buhisan Watershed Forest Reserve, recognizing its significance for Cebu in maintaining biodiversity, regulating water supply, and safeguarding the local ecosystem.
FLI exemplifies a proactive approach toward environmental conservation and community engagement. Through initiatives like these, FLI reaffirms its commitment to fostering a sustainable future while making a positive impact on the environment and local communities.
Underlining a dedication to sustainable development, FLI continues to refine its data processes, adopting a sustainability framework and a comprehensive set of environmental, social, and resilience commitments within the Filinvest Group.
At present, FLI strategically concentrates its efforts on sustainability focus areas crucial to the real estate industry, including green designs, affordable housing, and community resilience.
