Italian restaurant Cibo is finally here in Cebu! On December 15, SM Seaside City Cebu welcomed the first branch in the Queen City of the South.
Founded by Filipino Chef Margarita Araneta Fores, she began her journey in Italy, learning how to cook from three Italian signoras. In 1997, she finally opened her first Cibo, a modern Italian caffe-paninoteca, inspired by the mushrooming panino places in the cities of Milan & Rome. Since then, they have grown, proudly serving a wide range of authentic Italian dishes.
“I had been catering since 1987 starting very small, building the catering business for nearly 10 years, but in 1997 I was very ready to finally open a restaurant. And I was very clear, I wanted to do a simple Italian café to be situated in the malls in Metro Manila, and I was very clear also that I wanted to share the concept of modern Italian café culture that I learned from spending time in Rome and in Milano. Cibo means food, so I wanted it to be simple crisp concept sharing very authentic but modern Italian food.”, said Chef Flores in an audio visual presentation.
Cibo offerings includes starters, panini, sandwiches, salads, pasta, pizza, Margarita’s Mains, sodas, juices & shakes, coffee, and desserts.
